Care & Fit Guide

Daily Care

Rinse frames with lukewarm water and gently blot dry using a clean microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and never leave your frames on hot dashboards or in cars, as heat can warp the material.

Adjustments

Many acetate frames include wire-core temples, which allow small adjustments for comfort and alignment. Most opticians can perform quick adjustments in minutes, often complimentary.

Sunglass Lens Care

All Frames by Madam sunglasses include UV protection, and polarized styles help reduce glare from reflective surfaces. Clean lenses using lens spray or mild dish soap and water. Avoid paper towels, clothing, or tissues, which can scratch the lenses.

Storage

Always store your frames in a protective case with lenses facing upward. Keep them away from hairspray, sunscreen, and cosmetic overspray, which can damage lens coatings.

Warranty

Frames are covered for 12 months against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. Normal wear and accidental damage are not included.

Need a Tune-Up?

Small issues like loose screws, crooked frames, or nose-pad adjustments are quick fixes. Feel free to message us or visit an optician for help keeping your frames aligned and comfortable.

Smart Habits

Two hands, always
Remove glasses with both hands to keep frames aligned.
Resist the headband
Wearing glasses on your head stretches the temples over time.
Lenses up
Never place frames lens-down. Fold them or store them in their case.
Before beauty
Remove glasses before makeup, hairspray, or perfume to prevent residue buildup.
Skip the swim
Chlorine and saltwater can degrade lens coatings, so leave your frames poolside.

Weekly Refresh

Rinse frames with lukewarm water and a drop of mild dish soap. Gently massage the frame and lenses, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry. For nose-pad buildup, use a soft toothbrush. Check screws monthly and tighten if necessary.

Never Use

  • Clothing, tissues, or napkins โ€” they can scratch lenses
  • Window cleaners or ammonia-based products โ€” they can strip coatings
  • Extreme heat such as saunas, dashboards, or hot car interiors

Travel Ready

  • Hard case, always
  • Bring a backup pair when possible
  • Use TSA-friendly lens cleaner under 3.4 oz

Time for a Professional?

  • Frames sit crooked
  • Lenses are cloudy or scratched
  • Nose pads are discolored
  • Screws are stripped or loose
