The Madam Journal
Back at the Northeast Optical Show, 2026
Walking back into the Northeast Optical Show this year felt a little like coming home.
The booths were familiar. The faces were familiar. Before long, we were catching up with friends, sharing stories from the past year, and laughing as if no time had passed. What had once felt like stepping into the unknown now felt like a reunion.
Dave, Mariya, Everton, and I arrived with more confidence than we had the year before. We showed up better prepared, with a stronger collection, a clearer vision, and a deeper understanding of who Madam is.
One of the highlights this year was introducing our expanded sunglass collection. Every pair is equipped with standard polarized lenses because we believe exceptional eyewear should protect your eyes as beautifully as it complements your style. It was exciting to watch retailers experience the collection and understand that every design decision we make begins with function.
The conversations felt different this year too.
Last year, we introduced ourselves.
This year, people remembered us.
Retailers stopped by to say hello, partners checked in to see how we were doing, and new relationships began just as naturally as old ones continued. It reminded us that this industry is built on people first. Independent optical is more than a profession. It is a community where experience is shared, friendships are formed, and success is celebrated together.
We're incredibly grateful to the retailers who believed in Madam from the beginning and to those who discovered us this year. Every conversation, every handshake, and every new partnership reminds us why we do this.
Looking back, the biggest difference wasn't our booth or our collection.
It was how it felt.
Our first Northeast Optical Show introduced us to the independent optical community.
Our second reminded us that we had become part of it.
